If you want to help, you can find verified official donation pathways here. These are organizations we have checked, each with a stated way to give and a date we last reviewed them. Here is how to give safely after a disaster.

First, give money before goods. Cash lets responders on the ground buy exactly what is needed, close to where it is needed, often from local suppliers who also need business right now.

Second, use only verified official pathways. Every organization listed here has a stated donation method and a date we last reviewed their information. If a request for money reaches you a different way, through a message, a phone call, or a social post, treat it with caution and check it against this list first.

Third, do not self deploy. Travelling to the affected area without an invitation from a coordinating organization can put you at risk, and can take up food, transport, and shelter that survivors need.

Fourth, do not send unsolicited goods. Well meant items that were not requested can sit unsorted, take up warehouse space, and block roads and supply routes that rescue teams depend on.

If you want to offer skills, equipment, or business support instead of money, there is a separate pathway for that here, so it reaches a coordinating partner rather than going nowhere.

Why Nepali audio is not syntheticनेपाली अडियो किन कृत्रिम छैन

Nepali text-to-speech quality is currently poor, and mispronunciation of place names in a disaster context is not a cosmetic problem. Our own accessibility criteria for this project ask us to ship English audio and label the Nepali version as coming, rather than shipping a synthetic voice. We are following that rule here, even though it means Nepali audio is not available on day one. नेपाली टेक्स्ट-टु-स्पीचको गुणस्तर अहिले राम्रो छैन, र विपद्को सन्दर्भमा ठाउँको नाम गलत उच्चारण हुनु सामान्य समस्या होइन। हामीले अंग्रेजी अडियो अहिले उपलब्ध गराउने र नेपाली संस्करण "तयारीमा" भनेर लेबल गर्ने नियम पछ्याइरहेका छौं, कृत्रिम आवाज प्रयोग नगरी।
